REVIEW OF DISPOSALS MACHINERY (Previous Reference L.P.(1)(46) 1st Meeting, Minute 1) 1. The Sub—Committee had before them a memorandum by the President of the Board of Trade (L.P.(I)(46) 11) reviewing the operation of the disposals organisation and recommending that it should be simplified wherever possible and emphasis placed on speed of disposal, where necessary at the cost of a lowering of standards of "orderly" disposals GENERAL LINDSELL said that, although there were signs of definite improvement in the rate of disposal, it was clear that the machine was operating far too slowly.
