###RAE 1. The Committee had before them a memorandum by Lt.—General Lindsell (L.P.(I)(45) 10) showing the GOALS progress made in clearing storage accommodation and in disposing of surplus stores. Storage GENERAL LINDSELL said that the figures in his report did not give an up-to-date picture of the progress achieved and the actual position was much more satisfactory than appeared. The curve of releases was now approaching the target curve, labour and transport difficulties had been largely overcome and he was hopeful that the target of the clearance of 150 million square feet by the end of 1946 would be reached.
