-1- FUTURE OF THE ECONOMIC CONTROLS. 1. The Sub-Committee had before them a Memorandum by the Lord President of the Council (L.P. (45) 162) covering a Report, prepared as a result of discussions between officers of the Departments concerned, on questions arising in the administration of economic controls in the next six months, following the end of the war with Japan. THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL said the Report did not purport to do more than consider the situation likely to develop over the next six months.
