SUMMARY OF DAMAGE IN THE PERIOD 10th FEBRUARY TO 17th FEBRUARY 1943

On 10th February tracks were damaged at Havant, Rye, Winchelsea and Pevensey. Normal working was restored by the morning of 12th February. On 16th/17th February an U.X.B. near Cockett Tunnel (Swansea) stopped the main line. 4. OTHER COMMUNICATIONS Ports. Plymouth Port was closed following enemy air activity on the night of 13th/14th February. On the night of 16th/17th February, two H.E. in Kings Dock Area, Swansea, damaged rolling stock and railway lines at a siding. Swansea and Port Talbot Docks were temporarily closed owing to suspected mine-laying.
