4. COMMUNICATIONS Ports. On 20th January damage was caused at the Surrey Commercial Dock. On the same day, there was a suspected U.X.B. off the sea wall, Royal Naval Victualling Yard, Deptford; the parapet wall was split but there is no danger of flooding. A suspected U.X.B. in the middle of Deptford Greek caused traffic in and out of the Creek to be suspended. A motor vessel lying at No.32 shed, Tilbury Dock, was hit by an A.A. shell and suffered structural damage. Railways. On 20th January an engine at Norwood and another at Godstone were damaged by machine gun fire and a third engine near Lewes was disabled by machine gun fire.
