B. DETAILED SUMMARY OF AIR RAID DAMAGE IN THE PERIOD 23RD-30TH SEPTEMBER 1942. I. HOMELESS. At Colchester on 28th September, two H.E. bombs rendered 120 homeless, necessitating the opening of two rest persons centres. At Penzance on 26th September three rest centres were opened as a result of H.E. and incendiary bombs. IV. HOUSE PROPERTY. Preliminary estimates supplied by the Ministry of Health Regional Offices indicate that during the week ended 26th September, 1942, damage to house property in England and Wales was as follows:England and Wales.
