Defence Region or in Scotland. B. DETAILED SUMMARY OF AIR RAID DAMAGE IN THE PERIOD 24TH JUNE TO 1ST JULY, 1942. I. HOMELESS. At Norwich a sharp attack on Saturday, 27th June, necessitated the opening of six rest centres for the accommodation of 220 people. An administrative centre was opened at the City Hall. At Stoke Newington on 25th June a U.X.B. (believed to have- been dropped on the 15th June, 1941) was discovered and approximately 300 people were evacuated to three rest centres. The centres were closed on the 29th June.
