VI. MINISTRY OF SUPPLY FACTORY The Pirelli-General Cable Works Ltd., Eastleigh, Southampto### (Electric wire and cable) was damaged on the 21st/22nd June. The furnace in the rolling mill was demolished and extensiv### roof damage was done. The electrical apparatus in the telephone cable shop was burnt out, but the cable making machinery was only slightly damaged. Copper-rod output of 400 tons per week will be stopped for about two months. Adequate stocks of this however, are held, and the firm's production will therefore, not be affected.
