20th May B. DETAILED SUMMARY OF AIR RAID DAMAGE IN THE PERIOD 20TH-27TH MAY, 1942. I. HOMELESS. At Hull a sharp attack on the 19th May resulted in about 2,500 people being made homeless, of whom 645 were admitted to rest centres. At Poole bombs were dropped during the night of 24th May causing 160 people to be accommodated in rest centres. IV. HOUSE PROPERTY. Preliminary estimates supplied by the Regional Offices of the Ministry of Health indicate that damage to house property during the week ending 23rd May, 1942, was as follows:England and Wales.
