At 0300 hours on April 18th, a goods shed at Millbroo###, near Southampton, was demolished by a bomb. Telephone communications were severed between Millbrook and Redbridge. An unexploded bomb was dropped in Goods Yard at Budleigh Salterton at 1335 hours on the 17th April, 1942, and a special bus service was instituted between Exmouth and Tipton St. John. The bomb was declared harmless at 2050 hours on the same day. It was reported on 19th April that an H.E. bomb fell on the L.N.E.R. line at Waltham, near Grimsby, both lines being blocked.
