B. DETAILED SUMMARY OF AIR RAID DAMAGE REPORTED IN THE PERIOD 12TH-19TH MARCH, 1941. I. HOMELESS. (a) London. The number of people in rest centres in the London Region has declined during the week from 2,040 to approximately 1,000. (b) England and Wales outside London. As a result of the raids on Merseyside on the 11/12th and 12/13th March approximately 7,800 homeless people were accommodated in rest centres. This number has now been reduced to 1,850. The arrangements are reported to have worked satisfactorily and billeting is proceeding smoothly.
