The Meeting had before them a Note by the Secretary (circulated on the 17th October under reference No. 2/1/31) covering a summary of air raid damage in the period 7th-16th October, 1940. A general discussion took place on the civil defence position as it had developed during the past week, and on the progress made in repairs to essential services and in providing shelter for the population.
