SHELTER POLICY - REVIEW OF PROGRESS.

The Meeting discussed shelter policy and reviewed the progress made since their last meeting. The Meeting agreed as follows:- Cement Supplies. (1) The Minister without Portfolio was invited to submit to the War Cabinet a revised allocation of cement supplies under which the Ministry of Home Security would receive an additional 150,000 tons (making 345,000 tons in all) during the next three months. It was explained that this additional allocation could only be made at the expense of other users such as the Air Ministry, Ministry of Supply, and Ministry of Aircraft Production.
