It is know that in certain areas, notably the London region, the demand for labour considerably exceeds the probable supply: it seems unlikely that permanent traditional housing will absorb the full coiling provided. past experience, actual employment in other instances may fall short Judging by of the calculated demand. These factors point to a clear possibility of local unemployment in the building and civil engineering industries. This can, to some extent, be relieved by the more ready issue of licences for decoration, repair and other maintenance work.
