III. LEND/LEASE During the five weeks ended 4th August arrivals in the United Kingdom of Lend/Lease supplies of U.S.A. origin averaged 11 thousand tons per week, as compared with a weekly average of 23 thousand tons in the first six months of the year. Total supplies under Lend/Lease since the first cargoes arrived in May 1941 are 6.16 million tons. IV. COMMODITY SUPPLY POSITION (Energy Foods (Carbohydrates) Wheat and Flour (i) Arrivals of wheat in July continued at a high level and bulk stocks increased by 65 thousand tons.
