CABINET LORD PRESIDENT'S COMMITTEE SUMMER TIME PROPOSED REVERSION TO GREENWICH MEANTIME ON 7th OCTOBER, 1945. Memorandum by the Home Secretary. 1. At their 27th Meeting on 17th August, 1945, the Committee invited me, in consultation with the other Ministers concerned, to submit a Memorandum on the question of extending Summer Time after 7th October, 1945. 2. Under the Summer Time Acts, 1922 and 1925 Summer Time would end this year in the early morning of Sunday, 7th October, when the clock would be put back one hour.
