My colleagues may wish to know how the position with regard to school milk and school meals in Scotland compares with the position in England and Wales as stated by the Minister of Education in his memorandum H.A.(45) 13. 2. Owing mainly to the large number of small schools in sparsely populated areas where the provision of school milk and meals presents serious difficulties, the Scottish figures are at present less favourable than those for England and Wales.
