DISTRIBUTION OF NURSES. Note by the Secretary

10 Jul 1945

3. Infectious Diseases Hospitals. The Committee does not think that staff can be found in those institutions for work in T.B. Institutions but the Health Departments are making special enquiries with a view to reducing to a minimum the number of beds held as insurance against outbreaks of infectious diseases. The facilities so released will be made available for tuberculosis cases, thus reducing demands that would otherwise be made for staff for the latter purpose. 4. Nurseries. The Health Departments are advised that it is essential to have a State Registered Nurse at all nurseries catering for the under fives.
