TEACHERS' TRAINING COLLEGE PREMISES. Memorandum by the Minister of Education.

10 Jul 1945

(f) One College (The Roman Catholic College, Southampton) is accommodating the office staff of an industrial firm engaged on Admiralty and Ministry of Aircraft Production contracts. The First Lord of the Admiralty has represented to me that the firm must not be disturbed now, because their contracts are essential for the Japanese war and it has not so far been possible to make alternative accommodation available; but he will endeavour to provide alternative accommodation as soon as possible. (g) There are a number of other cases concerning single houses, hostels, etc.
