According to this, the Party used about 550 tons for leaflets, pamphlets and books and some 300 tons for campaign news sheets, while paper was also consumed for posters, envelopes and wrappers; their estimated total consumption in 1928/9 for Headquarters matter was between 800 and 1,000 tons.
