The Committee will recall that on 17th November last (L.P.(44) 53rd Meeting, Conclusion 2) they approved in principle the proposals for the issue of petrol for Political Party purposes in the period preceding the General Election contained in my memorandum, L.P.(44)189, but decided to defer until later their decision regarding the date on which this scheme should be brought into operation.
