COMPOSITION AND TERMS OF REFERENCE OF THE COMMITTEE. 1. The Committee had before them a Note by the Secretary of the Cabinet setting out their composition and terms of reference. THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL pointed out that the terms of reference were very wide, covering not only particular questions of internal economic policy but also the general co-ordination of the various parts of our economic development. The work of the Committee would, therefore, have to be kept in close touch with the work of other Committees, particularly the Housing Committee, the Social Services Committee, the Manpower Committee and the Overseas Economic Policy Committee.
