At their meeting on 1st May the Committee had invited the Minister of Health and the Secretary of State for Scotland to submit proposals for legislation dealing with the question of possession and with the control of the rents of furnished lettings in England and Wales. The Committee now had before them a memorandum by the Minister of Health (L.P.(45) 102). THE MINISTER OF HEALTH said that the Secretary of State for Scotland concurred in the proposals with regard to possession which were summarised in paragraph 6 of L.
