1. At their meeting on 16th February, the Committee had invited the Minister of Food to suvmit a memorandum showing in full what effect the proposals for reductions in the price of fish, set out in paragraph 10 of L.P.(45)38, would have on the earnings of owners, skippers, crews and distributors. The Committee now had before them a Memorandum by the Minister of Food, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Secretary of State for Scotland (L.P.(45)59), to which were attached tables giving the statistical information for which the Committee had asked and particulars of the wage agreements operating at the main fishing ports.
