As regards the provision of paper to individual candidates, the agents of the three Parties have suggested that a sufficient quantity would be 1 ton for each candidate where the electorate is not more than 30,000, an additional 5 cwts. for each 10,000 electors up to 50,000, and an additional 3 cwts. for each further 10,000 electors above 50,000. Assuming 2,000 candidates and an average of 50,000 electors, this would give a total of 3,000 tons.
