reduction in the bulk or periods of publication of trade, technical and other periodicals. Any such reduction must, however, be faced. Some of these periodicals are little more than vehicles for advertising matter. In addition to what I ask above, I suggest that the Controller of the Stationery Office should be given an additional power to serve notices on any printing firm that they must in future undertake no work except with the express sanction of the Stationery Office. The existing power to require firms to undertake specific work for the Stationery Office could then be made effective.
