WAR CABINET LORD PRESIDENT'S COMMITTEE THE POSTPONEMENT OF THE RAISING OF THE SCHOOL LEAVING AGE MEMORANDUM BY THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION 1. I desire the advice of my colleagues on the following matter. 2. Under Section 35 of the Education Act, 1944, the school leaving age will be raised from 14 to 15 on April 1st, 1945, unless in the meantime I make an Order under Subsection (3) of Section 108 retaining the age of 14.
