Many factories, operating this latter basis, lose only about 5% of man hours. Those which go to shelter on the former basis lose 25 - 40% of man hours. 4. In view of the above variations in practice, the following arrangements have been made:- i. A meeting has been held of the 79 Control firms who operate the industrial alarm groups covered by the London Alarm scheme. The meeting was handed copies of a new leaflet "Front Line Again" which is about to be distributed to all factories in London. Each Control firm has been asked in turn to call together representatives of management and workpeople from each member firm in its group.
