On the other hand, the National Union of Railwaymen have submitted a resolution in favour of the abolition of Double Summer Time, saying that "The members of the N.U.R. and their families are suffering increasing ill effects from the reduction in the amount of available sleep caused by the interference with the natural order of time observance.
