-2- Consumption and Stocks. 5. The consumption of most of the classes of consumer for whom figures are available showed a further seasonal increase, very cold weather in the middle of intensified by a spell of the month. The temperature was on the average 3°-4° colder than in December, 1942, and consumption of public utilities and industrial consumers was 91,000 tons, or nearly 4 per cent. above the 1942 rate, though this was partly offset by reduced disposals to domestic consumers, who took 54,000 tons per week ###ess than in December, 1942.
