At their meeting on the 4th August, 1944, the ### Committee had agreed that the extraction rate of wheat for ###ing flour should be reduced to 821/2% on or about 1st October, ### 1944, and to 80% on or about 1st January, 1945; but had decided that, for the time being, no public announcement ###vious should be made in regard to these changes. ###erence: ###.(44)40th The Committee now had before them a note by the ###ting, Minister of Food (L.P.(44) 150) in which it was explained ### 3) that, as the rate of extraction was prescribed by a Statutory Order, some amendment of the present Order would be necessary; and that this would involve publication.
