###POWER ###our for ###acco and garette ###duction. 1. The Committee considered a Memorandum by the Minister of Production (L.P.(44) 139). THE MINISTER OF PRODUCTION of the Board of Trade, who had increase of 900 workers in the allocation of manpower for tobacco and cigarette production, had now requested him to designate the production of tobacco and cigarettes at the factories of the Imperial Tobacco Company in Nottingham and Bristol. Hitherto, the designated list had been confined to urgent items of war production and certain products and services the failure of which would seriously affect the life of the community.
