THE COMMITTEE had before them a note by the Lord President of he Council (L.P.(44) 124) to which were appended:- (i) A minute of the meeting which the Lord President of the Council, the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs had had with Members of the House of Lords on the subject of the rates of pension for widows and children of officers. (ii) A memorandum by the Minister of Pensions on the points connected with education allowances which had been raised at the meeting.
