###OUBLE SUMMER-TIME Previous reference: L.P. (43) 11th Meeting. 1. The Committee had before them a Memorandum by the Home Secretary (L.P. (44) 33) proposing that in 1944 the period of double summer-time should be from 2nd April to 13th August. The Memorandum explained that the Ministry of War Transport and the Ministry of Fuel and Power were in favour of a longer period, while the Agricultural Departments had asked that double summer-time should not be reimposed at all in 1944.
