So far as these services are concerned therefore I consider that, subject to some minor possibilities mentioned in the Appendix, the withdrawals now proposed should form part of the general plan of reductions agreed upon by the Cabinet and that women of the classes concerned and the conditions under which they could be released should be given special consideration in discussions upon the age grouping of those to be released. The Secretary of State for Scotland and the Minister of Health are in general agreement with these conclusions, in so far as they affect the Services for which they are responsible.
