EMERGENCY ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE PROVISION OF GENERAL PRACTITIONERS. Memorandum by the President of the Board of Education.

8 Dec 1943

5. The representatives of the Service Departments accepted the general principles of this scheme, and Sir Wilson Jameson undertook to work out its detailed application, in consultation with them. The Service representatives said that they would arrange for the issue of instructions throughout the Services in this country explaining these arrangements for local co-operation. In addition, the Director General of Army Medical Services said that he thought that he could arrange, if necessary, to make available for work at hospitals a certain number of Medical Officers who were now undergoing training; these arrangements would have to be made centrally.
