MEMORANDUM BY THE ASSISTANCE BOARD ON PROPOSALS FOR THIS SIMPLIFICATION AND REVISION OF REGULATIONS FOR DETERMINING NEED. INTRODUCTORY. 1. IN the Memorandum (Cmd. 6464) on the Draft Supplementary Pensions Regulations, 1943, which were approved by the House of Commons on the 4th August, 1943, it was stated that the Assistance Board were engaged on a codification and simplification of the whole body of Regulations. This statement was based on an intimation by the Board to Ministers that they proposed to review the Regulations as a whole and consolidate them.
