Milk. 397,486,000 gallons of milk were sold through Milk Marketing Boards in the United Kingdom in the three months June to August, 1943, compared with 385,160,000 gallons in the corresponding months of 1942. 6. Labour. Preliminary figures shew an increase in the agricultural labour force in England and Wales of 13,000 in the year up to June, 1943.
