24 and 25 Geo. 5 C.29 3 and 4 Geo. 6 C.13 6 and 7 Geo. 6 C.27 Short title commencement and interpretation SUPPLEMENTARY PENSIONS DRAFT REGULATIONS Whereas in pursuance of Section 38 of the Unemployment Act, 1934, as that section was applied with respect to the functions of the Assistance Board by Part II of the Old Age and Widows' Pensions Act, 1940 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), the Supplementary Persons (Determination of Need and Assessment of Needs) Regulations, 1940(a) (hereinafter referred to as "the Principal Regulations") were duly made for the purposes of the Act; And whereas the Principal Regulations were duly amended by the Supplementary Pensions (Determination of Need and Assessment of Needs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1941(b), and the Supplementary Pensions (Determination of Need and Assessment of Needs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1942(c) (hereinafter together referred to as "the Amending Regulations"); And whereas by reason of the Pensions and Determination of Needs Act, 1943, it is necessary further to amend the said Regulations; And whereas the provisions of subsections (2) and (3) of Section 52 of the Unemployment Act, 1934, as that section is applied with respect to the functions of the Assistance Board under Part II of the Act, and of subsection (3) of Section 1 of the Pensions and Determination of Needs Act, 1943, were duly complied with and the Minister of Health and the Secretary of State acting in conjunction (hereinafter called "the Ministers") made and laid before Parliament Draft Regulations; And whereas each House of Parliament by resolution duly approved the said Draft Regulations; Now, therefore, the Ministers in pursuance of the powers conferred on them by Part II of the Act and of all other powers in that behalf hereby make the following Regulations in the terms of the draft so approved as aforesaid:I.
