NOTE ON CIVILIAN UNIFORMS. 1. As I explained in my Paper (L.P.(43) 158), uniforms for civilians ###nnot be provided out of the ordinary ration, which is now 48 coupons a year. ###r example, the total uniform outfit for a Metropolitan Policeman is worth ###3 coupons. Arrangements were accordingly made at the beginning of rationing, ###ereby members of this Force receive their uniforms coupon-free, subject to ### annual surrender of 18 coupons. This entitles the wearer to all replacements ### addition to the initial outfit, and leaves the wearer with 30 coupons a year ###r other clothing.
