-2- (c) Rubber. The Materials Committee have allocated to footwear production 3,500 tons of reclaim rubber - sufficient to make 5,000 tons of soling material. This is more than double the quantity of composition soling material previously provided. If the additional labour required is speedily directed into the rubber industry, most, if not all, of this material should be available during the three months, July, August, and September. (d) Wood, The Materials Committee have allocated 478,000 cubic feet of hardwood our full demand for wooden soles.
