Measures to improve the quality of the Nation's milk supply.

12 Apr 1943

(b) Herds producing Accredited* milk are inspected once every three months. (c) Owing to the shortage of veterinary staff a very considerable number of herds whose milk does not qualify for any special designation are not inspected at all. 8. It is in the Government's view obviously desirable that every herd in the country should be inspected by a veterinary officer at least once a year. There is, however, no likelihood for some time to come that it will prove possible to undertake the additional inspections involved whilst maintaining the existing frequency of inspections in the case of all the herds at present inspected.
