Taking Possession of Land and Termination of Tenancies Up to 12th March, 1943, possession had been taken in England and Wales of 343,132 acres of uncultivated or badly farmed land and in addition tenancies had been terminated without taking possession in respect of a further 225,358 acres. The corresponding figures for Scotland were 135,877 acres and 7,812 acres. 7.
