PROPOSED COLLECTIVE AWARD TO FACTORIES. Memorandum by the Minister of Production. 1. The Lord President's Committee at their Meeting on 17th June recommended:- "that the Minister of Production should be invited to arrange for representatives of the three Supply Departments and the Ministry of Labour and National Service together with a representative of the Committee on the Grant of Honours, to explore the possibility of a scheme for giving collective awards to factories whose work was outstanding and to submit a report to the Committee at a later date".
