-2- would give further consideration to the practicability of alternative schemes under which the bonus would be related to the output either of particular pits or of groups of pits. The Board has now presented a report which comprises :- (1) a confidential memorandum on the output bonus stating, for the information of His Majesty's Government, the reasons which have led it to recommend the scheme in its present form on a district basis; (2) a supplemental report in a form which can be published for the information of the industry; (3) the detailed scheme called for by the Lord President's Committee, and (4) a second schedule containing provisions for "loading" actual output where output is temporarily diminished by reason of abnormal occurrences or holidays; for periodical review and adjustment of standard outputs; and for a general review by the Board.
