COAL MINING INDUSTRY. PROPOSALS FOR AN OUTPUT BONUS. MEMORANDUM FOR THE MINISTER OF FUEL AND POWER SUBMITTED BY THE BOARD OF INVESTIGATION. 1. In paragraph 17 of our Report dated the 18th June, 1942 we recommended the payment of a bonus for increased output and in Appendix III we outlined a scheme for consideration. We were requested to consider our proposals further in the light of any representations which the industry might wish to make. These representations have now been made in the form of an agreed proposal supplemented by an oral discussion with the representatives of the industry which took place on the 27th July.
