It is probably too early to make any definite Plans, but it is most important that the situation should not be further prejudiced until it can be fully considered in all its bearings. The Committee accordingly recommend that directions be given that in the meanwhile no Department should enter into any fresh commitments as to the disposal of their hostels or camps after the war without referring the matter to the Committee. At their request the Minister of Works and Planning is collecting forthwith a full return of the accommodation now available, with details as to type and location and a note of any commitments already existing.
