Memorandum by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. I think it desirable to draw the attention of my colleagues to a recent decision of the Industrial Court about wages of County Council roadmen. The North Midland Regional Council recommended in March the addition of a War Bonus of 4s 0d per week to basic wages of 60s 0d in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and 57s 0d in Leicestershire.
