South Wales and Lanark shire for increases in price would be granted; and second that if the cost of meeting the Award should exceed 2s. 6d. per ton, the cost incurred by individual pits should still be met from the Levy Fund, increased as necessary. On the first, consideration of the applications for price increase from the districts named has so far been deferred pending a decision regarding the reorganisation of the industry, but it has for some time been recognised that, substantially, the claims which have been made from Durham and South Wales must be met.
