As invited by the Committee at their 13th Meeting on the 13th February, 1942 I submit the following report on the extent to which further miners can be combed out from other industries. 1. of the 104,000 ex-miners who were registered last July, 42,000 have already been declared to be unfit for coalmining employment, while 32,000 have reentered such employment.
